Glucomannan ist ein löslicher Ballaststoff, der aus der Konjakwurzel (Amorphophallus konjac) gewonnen wird.
Glucomannan besitzt ein außergewöhnlich hohes Quellvermögen und kann ein Vielfaches seines eigenen Gewichts an Wasser binden. Dadurch erzeugt Glucomannan im Magen ein starkes Sättigungsgefühl, was es zu einem häufig genutzten Bestandteil in Gewichtsmanagement-Strategien macht.
