L-Glutamine is the most common amino acid in our body and is important for the immune system as well as the gut. However, modern lifestyles lead to a constantly active immune system, and our Glutamine consumption, especially during physical exertion or a low-carb diet, can be very high. About half of the Glutamine we consume through food is utilized in our gastrointestinal tract.
What are the functions of L-Glutamine?
L-Glutamine has always been an important building block for our body. The amino acid is involved in protein synthesis and serves as a building block for the neurotransmitters Glutamate and GABA in the brain. L-Glutamine also plays a role in energy production and gut regeneration and is required by the immune system in all muscles as well as the mucous cells of the digestive tract. Baobab, the fruit of the Baobab tree, has been a part of species-appropriate nutrition in Africa for generations. Rich in antioxidants and with a high fiber content, Baobab also has positive effects on digestion and the gut microbiome, as well as the immune system.
Why do we combine L-Glutamine and Baobab?

How is PROTECT made?
