Health scientist Matthias Baum joins podcast host Felix Moese to discuss his personal health journey, in which he rethought and changed his routines and lifestyle: Matthias talks about how he “almost accidentally” developed a method to permanently integrate intensive exercise and healthy eating into his everyday life without much effort: “Just start! don't set yourself a goal. Start in the morning, invest 15 minutes, without a fixed training plan.” What is crucial is consistency in our routines – also and above all in the type and frequency of our diet: „We dramatically overestimate how much energy sport consumes and extremely underestimate how much energy is in our food.“ Motivation comes from progress and success: Matthias visibly gained muscle mass in 66 days and lost 5.3 kilograms of body weight at the same time.
