Species-appropriate mango coconut ice cream

Ingredients

  • 3 Ripe mangoes

  • 400 g span class=""wpzoom-rcb-ingredient-name"">Coconut yogurt

  • 2 EL Honey, e.g. B. MANUKA

  • 1 Lime (juice)

Preparation

  • Peel the mangoes, remove the seeds and cut the flesh into pieces.
  • Place the mango pieces, coconut yoghurt, honey and lime juice in a blender and blend until a smooth, homogeneous consistency is achieved.
  • Pour the mixture into a shallow, sealable container.
  • Place the mango and coconut ice cream in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight until it is completely frozen. If possible, mix 1-2 times so that everything freezes evenly.
  • Before serving, leave the ice cream to stand at room temperature for a few minutes so that it can thaw a little and be portioned more easily.

    Mango has a high content of vitamins, especially vitamin C and beta-carotene, trace elements and secondary plant substances. It also contains tyrosine, an amino acid that is metabolized in the body into dopamine, our „motivation hormone“.

    Coconut yogurt: Coconut is a very good and species-appropriate source of energy. Make sure that no sugar, preservatives or stabilizers have been used in the production process.

    Honey has been considered a natural remedy for thousands of years and is known for its effect against pathogens such as viruses and bacteria. Manuka honey works best here – its high methylglyoxal content (MGO) makes it unique. In general, the darker the honey, the better, as the pinostrobin content is then higher.

    Limes have a high vitamin content, especially vitamin C, trace elements and secondary plant substances. They also activate liver enzymes that help us detoxify.
