Lactoferrin CLN® is a highly purified, functionally active lactoferrin developed for medical-therapeutic and nutritional applications. As an iron-binding glycoprotein, lactoferrin belongs to the transferrin family and occurs naturally in body fluids such as saliva, tear fluid, breast milk and in the intestine. The special feature of Lactoferrin CLN® is its clinical quality, very high purity and targeted use in inflammatory processes, infections, iron metabolism disorders and immunological imbalances.
.bind divalent iron, lactoferrin deprives potentially pathogenic microorganisms of a vital growth medium. At the same time, it has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and immunomodulatory effects. In its CLN® form, it is available in a standardised, bioactive structure, which studies have shown to have particularly good bioavailability and stability in the gastrointestinal tract. It is gently extracted from cow's milk, without the use of solvents or high temperatures, which preserves its functional integrity.
