  • Bronchial asthma: Beta-2 agonists (e.g., salbutamol) exploit the adrenaline sensitivity of bronchial smooth muscle to open the airways.
  • Anaphylaxis: In life-threatening allergic reactions, the administration of adrenaline is the first-line emergency treatment, utilising the sensitivity of the cardiovascular system.
  • Mental health disorders: Anxiety and panic disorders are frequently associated with altered adrenergic reactivity.
