Natron, chemisch bekannt als Natriumhydrogencarbonat (NaHCO₃), ist ein weißes Pulver mit vielseitiger Wirkung.
Natron wird häufig als Hausmittel zur Neutralisierung von Säure eingesetzt, insbesondere bei Sodbrennen oder als natürlicher Deodorant-Ersatz. In der Küche dient es als Backtriebmittel, in der Medizin als puffernde Substanz, die den Säure-Basen-Haushalt beeinflusst.
In der Naturheilkunde wird Natron zur Entsäuerung des Körpers empfohlen. Es kann mit Wasser eingenommen werden, um die Magensäure zu neutralisieren oder einen allgemein basischen Effekt im Organismus zu erzielen. Auch äußerlich kann es verwendet werden, z. B. als Basenbad, Spülung bei Hautirritationen oder zur Zahnpflege.
Allerdings ist bei der innerlichen Anwendung Vorsicht geboten: Langfristiger oder übermäßiger Gebrauch kann die Elektrolytbalance stören oder den Magen reizen. In moderater Dosierung kann Natron jedoch als Teil einer natürlichen Gesundheitsstrategie gezielt unterstützend wirken.
