Blood pressure indicates the pressure with which the blood is pumped through the arteries.
The blood pressure indicates the pressure with which the blood is pumped through the arteries. It is measured in mmHg (millimetres of mercury) and consists of two values: The systolic value (pressure during cardiac contraction) and the diastolic value (pressure during the relaxation phase of the heart). The following values are based on the recommendations of the German Hypertension League and the WHO:

Hypertension (hypertension) increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as stroke, heart attack or kidney damage. Low blood pressure (hypotension), on the other hand, can cause dizziness, tiredness or concentration problems.
