Ingredients and Mechanism of Action

Cholagogue tablets typically contain a combination of well-established herbal extracts. Commonly used active ingredients include:

Artichoke leaf extract – stimulates bile production in the liver and supports fat digestion
Dandelion root and herb – promotes bile flow and has a mild digestive-stimulating effect
Boldo leaf extract – traditionally used to stimulate bile secretion
Turmeric (curcuma) – possesses choleretic properties, meaning it promotes bile production
