Production and Chemical Properties

Crystalline wax is a hydrogenated mineral wax obtained through the hydrogenation of mineral oil fractions. It consists mainly of saturated hydrocarbons and is solid at room temperature. The wax is odourless, tasteless, water-repellent, and chemically very stable. These properties make it a versatile additive in food processing.
