Wissenswertes über "Enterococcus"
A genus of probiotic bacteria that support intestinal health and the immune system. They help to combat harmful microorganisms and strengthen the intestinal barrier.
Enterococcus is an extensive genus of lactic acid bacteria from the phylum Bacillota. Enterococci are gram-positive cocci that often occur in pairs (diplococci) or in short chains and are difficult to distinguish from streptococci due to their physical characteristics. They are present in the human intestine and play an important role in maintaining a healthy intestinal flora. They help to displace harmful microorganisms and strengthen the intestinal barrier function, reducing the risk of infection and inflammation. Enterococcus bacteria produce various antimicrobial substances that inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria and support digestion through the production of enzymes.
