Hitzepickel (medizinisch: Miliaria) sind kleine, juckende Hautbläschen, die durch einen Wärmestau und verstopfte Schweißdrüsen entstehen.
Wenn Schweiß nicht richtig verdunsten kann, staut er sich unter der Haut, was zu Reizungen und kleinen Bläschen oder Knötchen führt. Hitzepickel treten besonders in warmen, feuchten Umgebungen auf, häufig an Rücken, Brust, Nacken oder in Hautfalten.
Je nach Tiefe der betroffenen Hautschicht unterscheidet man Miliaria crystallina (oberflächliche, klare Bläschen) und Miliaria rubra (rote, entzündliche Pickel). Typische Beschwerden sind Juckreiz, Brennen und ein Hitzegefühl der Haut. Besonders Säuglinge, Kleinkinder und Personen mit empfindlicher Haut sind anfällig, da ihre Schweißdrüsen leichter verstopfen.
Zur Behandlung reicht meist Kühlung und das Vermeiden von Hitzestau. Leichte, atmungsaktive Kleidung, ausreichend Flüssigkeit und das Meiden direkter Sonne helfen, die Haut zu entlasten. Pflegende Lotionen mit Aloe Vera, Zink oder Panthenol beruhigen die Haut und fördern die Heilung. Bei stärkerer Reizung oder Entzündung kann kurzzeitig eine entzündungshemmende Creme eingesetzt werden.
