Wissenswertes über "High-intensity interval training (HIIT)"
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a training approach that combines short, intensive phases of exertion with active recovery phases.
The HIIT method is particularly effective for improving endurance, burning fat and increasing general fitness. In the recovery phases, the body should regenerate from the exercise before the next exercise session begins. A HIIT unit usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes and consists of various intervals that push the body to its limits. The short training units are particularly effective and time-saving and can be ideally integrated into everyday life.
HIIT stimulates the metabolism and ensures the so-called afterburn effect, which means that the body continues to burn calories for hours after training. The intense exercise also strengthens the cardiovascular system and improves general endurance. The intensive exercises not only promote fat burning, but also build muscle mass, resulting in a stronger and more defined body. HIIT can be customised to suit the individual, whether beginner or professional. Exercises such as burpees, jumping jacks, sprints or cycling make the training varied and versatile.
