Wissenswertes über "Manual therapy"
Manual therapy is a special form of physiotherapy treatment that deals with the diagnosis and targeted treatment of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system
Manual therapy is particularly useful for joint blockages, movement restrictions and muscular tension is used. The aim is to restore mobility, relieve pain and normalise physiological joint function .
The focus is on specific movements such as joint mobilisation, traction, stretching and soft tissue techniques, which are individually tailored to the affected joint. Manual therapy differs from traditional chiropractic treatment in that it is gentler and usually repetitive, without jerky impulses. It is used exclusively by specially trained physiotherapists with additional qualifications and requires a physician's prescription (remedy prescription).
Supplementary therapy is often combined with strengthening exercises, posture counselling, everyday movement training and - depending on the symptoms - also with inflammation-modulating micronutrients such as magnesium, vitamin D, Omega-3 fatty acids or Curcumin to support muscle regeneration and the joint environment.
