Wissenswertes über "Silent Inflammation"
Silent inflammation, also known as "silent inflammation", refers to a chronic subliminal inflammatory reaction in the body that usually goes unnoticed - but contributes massively to the development of many diseases of civilisation
Unlike acute inflammation, silent inflammation lackens obvious symptoms such as redness or pain. Instead, it works in the background and has a long-term effect on processes such as cell ageing, insulin resistance, vascular changes and even neurodegenerative diseases.
There are many causes of this silent inflammation: dysbalances in the gut microbiome, an inflammation-promoting diet (e. g. B. too many omega-6 fatty acids, sugar, trans fats), chronic stress, Lack of exercise and oxidative stress are among the main drivers. Hidden infections, toxin exposure or nutrient deficiencies can also put the immune system on permanent alert.
In order to prevent and regulate silent inflammation, integrative approaches rely on anti-inflammatory nutrition, micronutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, curcumin, OPC, Spermidine and targeted promotion of intestinal health. Fasting, getting enough sleep and reducing stress can also help to restore the immunological balance and calm inflammatory processes.
Main causes of silent inflammation:- Imbalance in the Intestinal microbiome (leaky gut, dysbiosis)
- Excess of sugar, trans fats and processed foods
- Omega-6 excess with simultaneous omega-3 deficiency
- Chronic stress, lack of sleep, environmental toxins
- Latent infections or silent sources of stress (e.g. teeth)
Regulatory measures & active substances:
- Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA) for inflammation modulation
- Curcumin, OPC, Spermidine, Resveratrol
- Strengthening the intestinal barrier with probiotics, glutamine, fibre
- Exercise, Fasting protocols, stress management
- Lab diagnostics: CRP hs, TNF-α, IL-6, zonulin, lipopolysaccharides
