UV radiation is part of sunlight and consists of invisible electromagnetic waves, which are divided into three categories: UV-A, UV-B and UV-C.

It naturally protects the skin from UV damage and supports the cells by neutralising free radicals and thus preventing damage to the cell structure. Thanks to its antioxidant effect, astaxanthin protects the skin against loss of elasticity, promotes moisture retention and can therefore reduce the depth of wrinkles. It acts as a natural sunscreen from the inside, which does not replace the external application of sun creams, but supplements it.
