TriYoga is a systematic and holistic yoga system developed in the 1980s by American yoga teacher Kali Ray. The name derives from the Sanskrit word Tri (three) and refers to the three core elements of the system: breath (Pranayama), movement (Asana), and focus (Mudra). These three elements are woven together into a harmonious, flowing movement sequence known as a Flow.
TriYoga emerged from a meditative experience (Kriya) of Kali Ray and evolved into a complete teaching and practice system. The philosophical foundation of TriYoga is rooted in classical yoga scriptures such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, as well as Tantric and Vedantic traditions. The ultimate aim is the union of body, mind, and spirit, along with the awakening of inner energy known as Kundalini.
TriYoga is organized into seven levels, ranging from Basics to advanced stages. Each level systematically builds upon the previous one, allowing for gradual deepening of practice. Every level also includes specific Pranayama and meditation practices.
TriYoga is practiced worldwide as both a therapeutic and preventive modality. Commonly reported benefits include:

Within the field of mind-body medicine, TriYoga is increasingly used as a complementary therapeutic approach. Research on yoga in general demonstrates positive effects of regular practice on stress reduction, blood pressure, pain perception, and quality of life. While TriYoga-specific clinical studies remain limited, the broader body of evidence supporting yoga therapy endorses its use in preventive and rehabilitative contexts.
