Ingredients and Mechanism of Action
Sinupret forte contains a standardized dry extract (BNO 1016) from the following plants:
- Gentian root (Gentiana lutea): provides anti-inflammatory properties
- Primrose flowers (Primula veris): promote secretion flow in the respiratory tract
- Sorrel herb (Rumex acetosa): exhibits antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects
- Elder flowers (Sambucus nigra): support immune defense and reduce mucosal swelling
- Verbena herb (Verbena officinalis): has antiviral and immunomodulatory effects
The combined plant extract acts as a secretolytic agent (thins viscous mucus), promotes mucociliary clearance (helps transport secretions out of the sinuses), and exerts antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects. Together, these actions improve ventilation and drainage of the paranasal sinuses.

Sinupret forte is indicated for:

Dosage and Administration
The recommended dosage for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older is typically 1 film-coated tablet 3 times daily. The tablets should be swallowed with sufficient liquid. Adequate fluid intake supports the mucus-thinning effect of the product.
Side Effects
Sinupret forte is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects include:
