Erysipelas, also known as erysipelas, is a bacterial skin infection that is usually caused by streptococci.
Wound erysipelas primarily affects the upper layers of the skin and the lymphatic system and is characterised by sudden, sharply defined redness, swelling and overheating of the skin. For prevention, it is important to take good care of the skin and treat minor injuries or fungal infections quickly. Lactoferrin may play a supportive role in the prevention of erysipelas as it has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties. Lactoferrin is a protein that binds iron, which is essential for the growth of many bacteria, and can therefore inhibit the multiplication of pathogens. It also strengthens the immune system so that infections can be better defended against.""
