fT4 – Free Thyroxine
fT4 is the precursor to fT3 and is produced directly by the thyroid gland. In the body, fT4 is converted into the active fT3 as needed. The typical normal range is between 12 and 22 pmol/L. fT4 is often measured together with TSH to get a complete picture of thyroid function.

- Anti-TPO antibodies: Indicate autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto thyroiditis

Low TSH Level

Altered fT3 or fT4 Levels

Treatment depends on the underlying condition:
