Dosage and Administration

Typical oral daily doses range from 0.25 to 2 micrograms. Regular monitoring of blood calcium and phosphate levels is essential during calcitriol therapy.
Side Effects and Risks
Overdosage of calcitriol can lead to hypercalcemia (elevated blood calcium levels), which may manifest as:
