- Lymphocytes: 20–40% (absolute: 1.0–4.0 × 10⁹/l)
- Monocytes: 2–8% (absolute: 0.2–1.0 × 10⁹/l)
- Eosinophils: 1–4% (absolute: 0.04–0.4 × 10⁹/l)
- Basophils: 0–1% (absolute: 0.01–0.1 × 10⁹/l)
Deviations from these ranges may indicate various conditions. Elevated neutrophils (neutrophilia) often suggest a bacterial infection, while elevated lymphocytes (lymphocytosis) are typical of viral infections. Elevated eosinophils (eosinophilia) may point to allergies or parasitic infestation.
