Recommended measures include moderate exercise such as swimming or yoga, relaxation techniques and physical therapies. Medication such as painkillers, antidepressants or sleeping pills can also be used. Diet also plays a role in symptom control. A balanced diet with sufficient iron, supported by food supplements containing lactoferrin, can help to stabilise the energy balance and reduce inflammation-related symptoms.
