Diagnosis and Biomonitoring
To assess human exposure to environmental pollutants, environmental toxicology uses a technique known as biomonitoring. Well-known programs include the German Environment Survey by the Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt) and the National Biomonitoring Program of the CDC in the United States.
Prevention and Protective Measures
Protection against environmental toxins involves both individual and societal action:
